WESTFIELD – Tina Marie Marai of Westfield, MA, died on April 25, 2018. Raised in Agawam, she was the devoted daughter of the late Patricia McCann Marai and the late Valentino B. Marai. Tina is survived by her beloved siblings Kathy A. Cincotta of Springfield and Eric G. Marai of Sandisfield, MA; another brother, Valentino B. “Vinny” Marai Jr. died in 2014. In addition, she is survived by her adored nieces, Chloe J. Cincotta of Springfield and Sofia R. Cincotta of Chicopee; her loving aunt, Jane Parker; and her dear cousin and friend, Laurie Cardone Zarlenga. Tina was the proud stepmother of Dominic DiLizia Jr. and Anthony DiLizia.  She also leaves her close friends Diane Bosquet, Gary Fortier, and Michelle Ducharme. A lifelong resident of Hampden County, Tina had worked at the Harold Grinspoon Foundation; the Office of Human Resources Recruiting at Baystate Health; the Office of Human Resources at Hasbro Games; and at Longview Fibre Company. She also provided private duty care for elderly clients and had earned her Massachusetts CNA license shortly before her death. Along with studying for an associate degree at Holyoke Community College, Tina was awarded a Certificate in Human Resource Management with honors from HCC in 2006. Tina was known for her contagious laughter and her good heart. She loved going out to hear live music, taking walks at Stanley Park, and time spent with friends. She could strike up a conversation with anyone and approached everyone she met with genuine interest. Tina had a deep faith in God and believed that love endures even after life ends. Her life, though too brief, blessed so many and now we take comfort that a joyful angel is watching over us. Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 4-7 PM at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main Street, Agawam, MA. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 beginning at 8:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Chestnut Street, Springfield. Burial will be in Agawam Center Cemetery, Main Street, Agawam.
