Treasurer announces school contest

BOSTON – State Treasurer Deborah B. Goldberg, Chair of the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA), and MSBA Executive Director Jack McCarthy are pleased to announce the 2015 “My Ideal School” contest.
The goal of the “My Ideal School” contest is to promote discussion among students and teachers as to how thoughtful design and construction of schools in Massachusetts supports student learning.
Regional winners will be chosen and will receive a special prize generously donated by Santander Bank. One lucky grand prize winner will also have their “My Ideal School” contest picture featured on the cover of the MSBA Annual Report. All winners will be honored at a special awards ceremony at the Massachusetts State House on May 27.
This contest is open to all first-grade students currently attending a Massachusetts public school. Contest submissions must be postmarked by April 24 for consideration. More information can be found on the MSBA website at http://www.massschoolbuildings.org.
