‘Two paws up’ for cat shelter volunteers, donors

To the Editor,
With the Thanksgiving holiday approaching, the Westfield Homeless Cat Project would like to thank its volunteers and donors for their time and generosity. As you know, 2020 has been an especially challenging year with the cancellation of fundraisers and public apprehension over Covid 19, and we are so very grateful to everyone who has allowed us continued to our efforts.  You are our champions, and we give you a “2 Paws Up” salute!!  Now that the cold weather has arrived, there is a higher demand to assist cats in need.  Cat food donations – especially Fancy Feast and Friskies — as well as cat and shelter supplies such as litter, towels/blankets, household cleaners and paper products and monetary donations would be most appreciated!  And don’t forget about our gift baskets available for purchase!
WHCP never denies a cat or kitten in need and your generosity will allow us to continue our efforts.  Donations can be dropped off or sent to 1124 East Mountain Road, Westfield, MA 01085. Don’t have the time or inclination to visit our shelter? Check out our Amazon wish list at https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2UX2QSYXRP3OG.  As always, we thank you for your support!
Speaking of Amazon, did you know you can also support WHCP and do your shopping at the same time through Amazon Smile?  AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon with the same products, prices, and shopping features as Amazon.com. However, when you shop on AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to the charitable organization of your choice.  Please go to www.smile.amazon.com and designate the Westfield Homeless Cat Project as your preferred charity.  Happy Shopping!
Please note our adjusted adoption clinic hours:  Thursdays from 5 – 7 p.m., Saturdays from 1 – 3: p.m. and Sundays from 1 – 3 p.m.  Please note that all safety protocols are followed, including facial coverings and hand sanitization.  For more information please contact Denise at [email protected].
