WESTFIELD–According to Westfield Police, a vehicle was driven into a river located off of Ponders Hollow Road Tuesday afternoon.
According to Westfield Police Lt. Jerome Pitoniak, a vehicle was reportedly driven into a river off of Ponders Hollow Road and proceeded to get stuck. The call was received by police at 1:37 p.m. No injuries were reported.
Police did not specify the river, though Little River does run near Ponders Hollow Road.
According to police, the operator of the vehicle claimed that they were attempting to wash mud off of the vehicle. The vehicle however, became stuck in the process.
