Victor Harold Marcotte

RUSSELL – Victor Harold Marcotte, 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 17, 2022, at home in Bridgeport, WV, surrounded by family. Born in Russell, MA, he grew up on the old family homestead on Moss Hill Road. After graduating from Westfield High School in 1949, he joined ROTC and received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts in 1953. He married Natalie C. Tracy in October 1954, and they moved to Amarillo, TX, to begin his first assignment as an officer in the US Air Force. He went on to complete his Masters in Healthcare Administration at the University of Minnesota, graduating in 1960. From there, he began a 22-year career as a Hospital Administrator in the USAF Medical Service and was assigned to various bases in the United States. He also served tours of duty in the Philippines and in Thailand. He retired a full Colonel in 1976.

He is predeceased by his wife Natalie (Tracy) Marcotte and his sister Lena (Marcotte) Frisbie.

He leaves his two daughters Vicky Lynn Palmer of Greer, SC, and Debra J. Marquiss of Palm Bay, FL; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was a longtime member of Bethany Assembly of God; a lifelong member of Gideons International and along with his wife, was a ten-year member of the Royal Family Kids’ Camp sponsored by Bethany Assembly of God.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a graveside service at the Russell Cemetery on June 4th at 11 am.
