WESTFIELD – Our dear mother, Viola Josephine (Nardacci) Kopatz, 95, passed away peacefully January 6th, 2024 at her home on 86 Pontoosic Road, Westfield, MA with her family all around her. She was born December 9th, 1928 to the late Quirino and Rosa (Macali) Nardacci.
Viola worked for Shaker Farms Country Club, Digital Corp, and was a housewife and a mother of six. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament and a member of the Schoenstatt Movement. She enjoyed cooking, singing and spending time with her family.
Viola was predeceased by her beloved husband Willard Harrison Kopatz, her sister Alesandra M. (Nardacci) Fucci, her three brothers Victor, Rosario, Albert Nardacci and her son-in-law Christopher Nicholson, married to Gloria Kopatz.
She leaves her loving children Donna Kopatz and her husband Tom Gillespie, Debbie (Kopatz) Lanoue and her husband John Lanoue, Diane (Kopatz) Murray and her husband Glen Murray, Gloria Kopatz, Willard Harrison Kopatz, Jr. and his wife Patricia Kopatz, David Kopatz and his wife Sheila Kopatz, her grandchildren Cara (Kopatz) Rossi, John Lanoue, Willard Joseph Kopatz, Marie Lanoue, Anna Lanoue, Heather Murray, David Murray, Chloe Kopatz, and her great-grandchild Vance Rossi, a brother Quirino Nardacci, and a sister-in-law Josephine Nardacci.
Her Funeral will be held Wednesday, January 10th, 2024, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad Street, Westfield and Thursday, January 11th, 2024 at 9 a.m. followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Road, Westfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Road, Westfield. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024, 4 p.m.-7 p.m. and January 11th, 2024, 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
