WESTFIELD: Wayne LaBonte, 81 of Murphy Circle passed away on August 5, 2015 at Noble Hospital in Westfield. He was born in Springfield on July 15, 1934, the son of the late Raymond and Rose (Fazio) LaBonte. He graduated from the Buckingham Trade School and then went on to serve in the United States Marine Corp. After the Marines, Wayne worked in the Construction field and also as a car reconditioning specialist for many years. Wayne loved to Bowl and also won many trophies playing horseshoes. He looked forward every year to marching with his fellow Marines in the Veterans Day Parade. Wayne was a good man and will be missed by all. He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond LaBonte and his sister, Rita Mercure. Wayne leaves his wife of 14 years; Gloria (Hebert) LaBonte; two sons, Roy and William Sampsel and a daughter, Victoria Murphy of Otis, many grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. A Calling hour will be held at the Czelusniak Funeral Home of Northampton on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. with a Service at the Funeral Home at 11 A.M. Burial will follow in Bridge Street Cemetery in Northampton. The family invites you to join them following the burial for a reception at the American Legion Post 344 in Hatfield. Donation in Wayne’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
