WESTFIELD – They may be “little” but they put up runs in a big, big way.
Westfield Bank defeated Richard’s Jeweler’s 18-13 in a Westfield Little League Softball 14U opener Thursday night at Sadie Knox. The two teams were expected to square off again Mon., July 13 and again on Mon., July 20 at Sadie Knox at 6 p.m. in the two-team division.
On Wednesday, Meyers Bros. and OMG will play in the two-team 12U division.
In Little League baseball action, Sons of Erin and Air Compressor will meet Tuesday at Ralph E. Sanville Memorial Field on Cross Street at 5:30 p.m.. Commercial and Slovak will face off across town at Paper Mill Field at 6.
On Wednesday, Air Compressor and Commercial will square off at Ralph E. Sanville Memorial Field at 5:30 and Kiwanis will collide with Sons of Erin at Paper Mill Field at 6.
