WEST SPRINGFIELD – The Westfield High School girls’ track and field team trounced West Springfield 119-17 Thursday at Clark Field.
Emily Ann Andrews won three events to lead Westfield, which won every event except for the 4×100 relay. Andrews finished first in the 100 high hurdles (17.3), high jump (4-6), and long jump (14-7 ¼).
Three others won two events for the Bombers – Kiany Roman (100 meters, 13.3; 200 meters, 27.9), Michelle Morgan (800 meters, 2:40; mile, 6:14), and Keri Paton (javelin, 97-1; shot put, 30-2).
Emilia Lund (400 hurdles, 1:16), Alex Lehman (400 meters, 64.3), Caleigh Rockwal (2 mile, 13:57), Jenna Rothermel (discus, 101-4), Jaymie White (triple jump, 29-5 ½), and the 4×400 relay team (Lund/Abby McCarthy/Ellie Dufraine/Kayla Roskey, 4:40.5) each captured first-place finishes in their respective events.
