WESTFIELD – William M. Hampton, Jr., passed away suddenly on January 14th, 2024. He was born in Westfield on December 22nd, 1955 to the late William M. Hampton, Sr., and Audrey (Corbett) Hampton.
He was a 1973 graduate of Westfield Vocational School. Bill had a passion to fly, as he was a pilot for over 50 years and was a flight instructor for over 20 years. Recently he was employed as a flight instructor with Fly Lugu Flight School in Westfield. He was also an avid Ham Radio operator whose call sign was WA1OIR.
Bill is survived by his brother Scott Hampton and his wife Susan of Westfield. He also leaves his brother-in-law Francis Neylon and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was predeceased by his brother Robert Hampton and his sister Elizabeth Neylon. He was also predeceased by his son, Owen.
