WESTFIELD; William Randolph Teter, 56, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 3, 2015, at Noble Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born in Albuquerque, NM, on January 8, 1959, the son of the late Ivan H. and Mildred (Shupe) Teter. He lived in Granville for the past 16 years where he became a farmer on Mountain Orchard.
The ‘Notorious Bill Teter’ enjoyed hunting, running his bird dog, making the ‘world’s best salsa’, and playing soccer. He was a doting father and husband and loved to cook for and spend time with his family. He also loved striking up conversations with strangers, and in his caring way reached out with love until they left as friends. Bill described himself as “the most pleasant unpleasant person he knew.” He was a God-fearing man who looked forward to the Lord’s return and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. William is survived by his beloved wife of twenty eight years, Christina (Jensen) Teter; four loving children, Rachel Marie Teter and her husband Warren Hendrickson, William Ivan Teter, and his wife Rachel Marie, Leah Christina Teter, and Anna Tryphena Teter; and two sisters, Margaret Harrington and Mary Teter. He was predeceased by his brother, John Teter. “Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, John 11:25.”
Funeral services were private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Granville Ambulance Fund, 707 Main Road, Granville, MA 01034.
