WSKB announces schedule changes

WESTFIELD – Westfield State University Community Radio 89.5 WSKB has announced a schedule change to its morning program. “Making the List” is now being broadcast on Wednesday mornings at 9 a.m. as part of the “Off the Cliff” show with Harry Cliff ’15. The show has moved from The Press Room on School Street where it was previously broadcasted to the WSKB studio in the Ely Campus Center.
“Making the List” is a program during which songs are rated by a group of panelists. The Westfield State Foundation worked together with university students to create this unique quiz show last October. The show allows listeners to tune into hear the panelist defend why their song deserves to “make the list.”
Every week the panelists bring in a song based on the theme of the week and hope to win the competition. Themes can range from Broadway to classical music or a specific artist such as Bruce Springsteen.
WSKB has replaced the show’s previous time slot with a new program about the Westfield Technical Academy followed by “Conversations with Peter Cowles” at 8:30 a.m. Peter will also be a part of the panel of “Making the List” with WSKB personality Bob Plasse.
WSKB Westfield is a commercial – free educational radio station, produced by the Student Radio Club and the Westfield State Foundation. As an organization, WSKB is a quality – driven station that offers new music and student activity while accommodating the community’s needs.
