WESTFIELD – Zane R. Venne, 69. died unexpectedly on May 11th, 2024 in Pittsfield MA. He was born on June 11th, 1954 in Westfield MA. He was a long-time resident of Westfield where he attended Westfield public schools.
He leaves his daughter Kristin L. Chaffee and his grandchildren Alexis and Corey of Westfield, two sisters: his twin sister Jane Feeney and husband Mike of Westfield, and Marsha Venne of North Carolina, and his two brothers John Venne and wife Jen of Russell and Gary Venne and partner Leah of Russell, as well his nieces and nephews. He also leaves his long-time close friend, Wayne Russeau, that has always been there for him and was always by his side.
He was predeceased by his Mother, Alice Venne and Father, Roger Venne and his Niece, Gina Vella.
He always had a love for being on the water, from fishing from a boat to scuba diving with the fish and exploring their world. He also had a love of soaring with the birds with his hang glider off of Mt. Tom to just relaxing listening to bluegrass music and playing his Banjo. He had a good heart and was always there to joke and make someone laugh. He will be missed by many friends and family and never forgotten.
