Marine Corps recruit A.J. Zazzaro in action during training on Parris Island. The Crucible is the final test for Marine Recruits before they graduate boot camp. Zazzaro headed to boot camp on December 15, 2013. His departure was delayed 30 days by the government shutdown. Zazzaro is the son of Joseph Zazzaro, Jr. and Katherine Zazzaro of 138 Joseph Ave. He is a 2011 Westfield High School graduate. He will head to Camp Lejeune, NC, for his first assignment.
