SOUTHWICK – The Southwick-Tolland-Granville Regional High School boys’ soccer team is set to kick off championship week.
No. 4 Southwick (10-3-4) will collide with top-seeded Mount Greylock (13-1-3) Tuesday in a Western Massachusetts Division 3 semifinal at Northampton High School, beginning at 4 p.m.
Southwick’s path to the semifinals has already featured a thrilling 1-0 win over fifth-seeded Monument Mountain (9-6-4) Friday. If the Rams are to earn a shot at the title, they will need to overcome an opponent who lost just once during the regular season and throttled No. 9 Athol 6-0 in the quarterfinal round.
In local girls’ soccer action, No. 2 Gateway (13-3-1) will play No. 3 Lee (12-6) Wednesday at Northampton at 7 p.m.
