As a frequent sidewalk runner, I agree with the other PulseLine contributors about the poor condition of the sidewalks between Mill St. and Juniper Park School. The South side of Western Ave is a hodgepodge of asphalt and cement that has been undermined by tree roots and raised by frost heaves. Some homeowners have taken it upon themselves to patch the walks on their own or seal them when they did their driveways. Thank you for trying, it is appreciated. The North side of Western Ave is particularly bad in front of Pine Hill Cemetery but in better condition overall than the South side. I believe it ends near Kensington Ave though. It would be nice to hear from our Ward 4 rep. or Mayor on future plans for a repair/replacement of this frequently used corridor. Thank you.

I’m a Russell resident and I saw the article in Saturday’s paper about the biomass plant. They’re not going to do it. And, you know, it would have really given more jobs to the area.

This is addressed to WalMart. I’m looking at the picture in the paper of the groundbreaking. If your company can afford to spend money on building an expansion, I think they should be able to spend a little money and put more people on the checkout registers at your store. I had to wait close to fifteen minutes and that’s not an exaggeration. I watched my watch before I could check out the other day. Give it some thought, please.
