6:56 a.m.: larceny, North Elm Street, a caller reports some time since Thursday a storage trailer was broken into and material including copper piping was stolen, the case was referred to the Detective Bureau;
8:39 a.m.: suspicious item, North Elm Street, a caller from a North Elm Street business reports observing an unattended backpack, dual response dispatched, the backpack was found to contain baseball and school supplies, the owner was identified by the contents and the backpack was returned to the owner;
9:24 a.m.: vandalism, City Hall, 59 Court St., a city official reports vandalism over the weekend to three city vehicles parked in the City Hall parking lot, the responding officer reports two vehicles each had a slashed tire while two tires were slashed on the third vehicle;
12:42 p.m.: fire, North Road, a caller reports tree branch fell on electrical lines and is burning , dual response dispatched, the responding officer reports the branch is no longer burning, the G&E responded and removed the branch from the power line, residents of a nearby house report their electrical power was interrupted;
2:29 p.m.: fire, Meadow Brook Lane, a caller reports that underground wires caught fire and slightly involved the associated house, dual response dispatched, the responding fire captain reports a very minor electrical fire caused slight damage to vinyl siding, the G&E was notified and responded;
4:12 p.m.: identity fraud, Indian Ridge Road, a resident reports via the online reporting option that he was contacted by the IRS requesting additional information about his tax return but he had not filed a return, the man reported that he learned that somebody had used his social security number to file a fraudulent tax return;
4:23 p.m.: larceny, King Street, a resident came to the station to complain of fraud in an online transaction, the responding officer reports that the man said that she attempted to buy a trailer which had been offered for sale online, the man said that he sent a payment but did not receive the trailer and now believes that the website he had dealt with was a fraudulent counterfeit of a reputable website, the case was referred to the financial crimes unit of the Detective Bureau;
6:49 p.m.: larceny, Robinson Drive, a resident came to the station to report that a garden flag was stolen from her yard a few days earlier, the victim said that she does not require a formal report but would like her loss to be documented;
9:36 p.m.: fire, Southampton Road, a caller reports a tractor-trailer unit is burning, the responding firefighters report a tractor without an attached trailer was fully engulfed in flames and was extinguished, there was extensive damage to the truck which had been parked in a row of similar units, the firefighters report no indication of foul play, an adjacent truck also suffered damage.
