In the bottom of the first, Ethan Saunders reached on an infield error. Darrin Roberts moved him over with a sac-bunt. Colby Gazda singled. C.J. Skribiski hit a sac-bunt RBI that knotted it up.
Camfour nearly reclaimed the lead in the top of the third inning, reaching on a passed ball and error, but ran themselves into two outs on the same play when they were thrown out at home plate and subsequently gunned down at third base on a uniquely fantastic double play.
Berkshire Insurance tacked on another run in the third. With two outs, Ethan Saunders walked and stole second. Roberts followed with an RBI single to center field for a 2-1 lead.
Enchautegui nearly manufactured a game-tying run all on his own in the top of the fourth inning. The Camfour starting pitcher and lead-off batter was hit by a pitch, and stole two consecutive bases to get into scoring position. Berkshire reliever Colby Gazda caught Enchautegui leaning toward home plate, and picked him off at third.
Raphael Morganelli worked the basepaths effectively in the top of the fifth inning after reaching on an infield error. Morganelli moved over to second and third with back-to-back balks, and scored on a wild pitch.
Camfour had regained the lead with heads-up play. In the next two innings, they pulled away.
Bryant Keeney gave Camfour a two-run advantage to begin the sixth when he singled, stole second, and scored with the assistance of some errors. Enchuategui and Aidan Burke walked. An error and wild pitch made it 6-2.
A combination of walks and errors in the seventh resulted in four more Camfour runs.
No. 8 batter Trent Adam had a productive day at the plate for Berkshire Insurance, going 2-for-3 with a double. He drove in a run with a base hit to right field in the bottom of the seventh.
