WESTFIELD – Betty Jo (Johnson) Pearson, 87, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2016 at The Governor’s Center in Westfield. She was born in Elberton, GA to the late Clarence and Marjorie (Moorehead) Johnson. Betty was employed as an Inspector for Smith and Wesson for over 34 years. She loved to travel and made a trip with her husband, around the country, visiting every state but 4. She loved to read, but most important to her was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty is survived by her beloved husband John E. Pearson of Southwick, her three loving daughters, Marjorie J. Donovan of Lee, MA, Linda L. Kowalcyzk and Deborah A. Norman, both of Greer, SC., her cherished grandchildren, Buck Donovan, Jason Frigon, Michael Donovan and Colleen Hennessey and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Rolland Frigon, a son Robert Frigon, a daughter Bonnie Gaunt, her brothers, Gene and Clarence Johnson and her sister Mildred Melton. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 11AM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085, followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Parker St. Springfield. A visiting hour will be held prior to the service from 10-11AM in the funeral home.
