… And so the beat goes on for the New England Patriots.
Once again, the Patriots continue to rock the National Football League, going 3-0 with backup quarterbacks Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett (who needs Tom, right?).
No matter which one takes the field this Sunday – or even emergency backup QB Julian Edelman, the team’s premier wideout, for that matter – confidence is steadily growing for this team’s Super Bowl chances.
My confidence is also on the rise after having increased my win total on a weekly basis. Still, there were a few “Beat ‘The Putz’” contest participants who climbed their way to the top by besting me and others in Week 3.
Stephen Sabadosa, Penelope Vincent, and Deb Michaud each went 11-3, easily topping my eight-win mark, with Sabadosa edging out the field with 42 tiebreaker points (Dallas and Chicago combined for 48).
As we turn to Week 4, the biggest question will be answered – will the Pats go 4-0 before Brady returns? Only Rex Ryan and the Buffalo Bills stand in their way.
In addition to Patriots-Bills, there are several intriguing matchups this Sunday, capped off by our Sunday night tiebreaker, Kansas City at Pittsburgh.
Good luck!
