We’ve all heard that before. Well, I’m here to tell everyone that is a lie. I’m here to dispel the notion right here, right now.
For several weeks now, I’ve been trying to get the word out to the public that we are giving away a free weekly gift certificate to The Tavern Restaurant just for picking the winners of NFL Sunday games. At season’s end, we are going to freely give away a flat-screen television (courtesy of Manny’s TV & Appliances) to one lucky winner. All you’ve got to do is post the best record in any week of the NFL regular season, and you’ve got a one-in-17 chance to walk away with a free TV.
Since we’re in the giving mood, we’re going to award a win to everyone who selected Arizona or Seattle, due to the two teams’ tie.
Don’t say we never gave you anything. (I also gave away the week by going 6-7, although that was not my plan.)
Gerald Roberts, of Westfield was one of eight entrants to go 10-3 this past Sunday. Roberts edged out the field with 37 tiebreaker points.
Week 8 finds New England traveling to Buffalo to take on the Rex Ryan-led Bills, the only team that has managed to beat the Patriots thus far this season.
Our Sunday night tiebreaker game is a doozy. The Eagles and Cowboys collide in Big D.
