WEST SPRINGFIELD – The Longmeadow-Westfield girls’ ice hockey team battled Algonquin to a 1-1 tie on Thursday night behind one goal from Brigitte Slough, one assist from Katelyn Joyal, and 25 saves from Kayla Brown. The Lancers return to action Jan. 6 against Auburn at the Olympia Ice Center in West Springfield at 8 p.m.
