WESTFIELD – At about 12:45 PM Saturday afternoon Westfield police were called to Pochassic Road in response to a single male who had barricaded himself in a house and was not responding to police direction to leave the home.
More than a dozen officers were involved including the Special Response Team. During the standoff Westfield police deployed their drone for additional information gathering.
A 63 year old male has been taken into custody and brought to Baystate Noble Hospital for evaluation. There were no other people within the home during the incident.
