WESTFIELD- Baystate Health officials have said that the lockdown at Baystate Noble hospital Sunday is related to an investigation by State Police and the Hampden County District Attorney’s office.
The lockdown began at 11 a.m. and was lifted at around 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
“Westfield police responded to Baystate Noble Hospital due to the belief that there was a threat to their security,” said Westfield Police Captain Michael McCabe, “When we arrived we determined that the threat no longer existed.”
Police and hospital officials were unable to specify what they believed the threat was.
