WESTFIELD: Irene Urban, 88, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. She was born in Janawo, Poland to the late Stanislaw and Zofia (Nikiel) Goralczyk. Irene was employed as a seamstress at Steigers, Yale Genton’s and lastly at Stanley Cleaners. She was a very active communicant of Holy Trinity Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. She had a passion for singing and gardening and you could always find her enjoying beautiful flowers and lovely songs.
Irena’s children and grandchildren were her most precious part of her life. She was survived by her children; Lester Urban of Westfield, Sophie Parker and her husband Ward of Mashpee MA, Anna Urban of Westfield, Andrew Urban and his wife Gail of Westfield, Donna Gauthier and her husband David of Chester MA, along with eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sons Zdzislaw and John Urban.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 4 2021 at 10AM meeting directly at Holy Trinity Church, 335 Elm St., Westfield, MA followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd., Westfield. There are no calling hours.
