RUSSELL – Anne L. Conway, 84, died Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 11, 1938, to Romeo and Mildred Lefebvre. She passed peacefully surrounded by family in her home, which was her last wish in life.
She was predeceased by her husband Leonard Conway and grandson Alex Schultz.
Anne worked as a switchboard operator in Pittsfield in her youth; she was a stay-at-home mom for many years. She also worked for her husband as his secretary. She was a Home Health Aide and a scheduler at Westhills Home Care. Her retirement was her favorite job at Westfield State; she enjoyed being a prep cook and worked until she was 81 years old. She loved her Red Sox, she always wore her lucky Red Sox earrings for each game; she never missed a game. She also enjoyed bowling and golfing when she was younger.
She leaves behind Helen Ware and her fiancé Eric Harshbarger of Hebron, CT, Darcy Conway of Houston, Texas, Maureen Hook of Chester, Ken Conway and his wife Deanna of Russell; 9 Grandchildren: John M. Ware and his wife Lisa Rua Ware of Marlborough, MA, Adam C. Ware and his wife Polina Ware of Douglas, MA, Elizabeth A. Ware and her husband Jason Butcher of Wyomissing, PA, Sarah A. Ware and her husband James Woznicki of Shrewsbury, MA and Gina Anne Outhuse of Palmer, MA, John J. Nardacci, Jr., and his fiancée Stephanie Danek of Southwick, MA, Jillian Schultz of Savannah, GA, Kenny Conway and Katie Conway of Russell; 9 Great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews and a lot of friends.
Calling hours will be held for Anne at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA on Sunday, November 6th from 2-4pm. A service will follow at 4 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anne may be made to the ASPCA. Firtionadams.com
