WESTFIELD – Diane L. (Benard) Raschilla, 47, of Westfield died Sunday, August 5, 2012 in Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Holyoke on February 5, 1965 to Gerald L. and Jane A. (Pendergast) Benard and lived in Westfield for the past twenty-six years.Diane graduated from Chicopee High School and Holyoke Community College. She was employed for many years as a secretary for the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office and was a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Westfield. In high school she played softball and soccer for Chicopee High School.
Diane leaves her husband of twenty-six years, Thomas M. Raschilla; a son, Joseph T. Raschilla, and a daughter, Alison M. Raschilla all of Westfield. She also leaves her mother, Jane A. (Pendergast) Benard of Westfield and a sister, Deborah Shea of West Springfield.
The funeral will be Friday, August 10, at 9:00 a.m. from Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Westfield at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Westfield. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
