WESTFIELD – Forget nine lives.
The Saint Mary’s High School girls’ soccer team drilled nine goals in a 9-1 rout of Westfield Voc-Tech yesterday at Westfield North Middle School.
St. Mary’s Monika Peterson scored four goals, Alex Mitchell chipped in two, and three others – Lauren Chapdeline, Taylor Marshall, and Darby Bailey – added one apiece to surge past Voc-Tech.
Alison Stanlewicz had two assists; Peterson, Caitlyn Holuhan, Bella Butler, Chapdeline, and Miranda Arena each had one.
Southwick 0, Central 0
Megan Zabik earned a shutout in net for Southwick. She finished with five saves.
JV GIRLS’ SOCCER
Southwick 5, Central 2
Sabrina Provost, Megan Coon, Alicia Daly (assist), Julia Ingeleue, and McKenzie Frey each scored a goal to lead Southwick. Rams’ Amber Nobbs had two assists.
Ariel Bryant (2 saves) and Mogran Harriman (3 saves) combined for the victory in net.
BOYS’ SOCCER
Southwick 2, Chicopee Comp 1
Evan Haynes (from Colin Devine) and Dillan Davignon (from Cam Felix) helped Southwick (1-2-3) win its first game of the 2012 season. Tim King (5 saves) and Jeff Reardon (6 saves) combined for the win in net for the Rams.

Westfield goalie Sam Blake made a highlight reel save in the first half and collected several solid second-half saves, and Rob Sullivan made his presence felt on the defensive side of the ball in the back and midfield.

Cam Dirico and Tanner Dasso scored a team-low 41 for Westfield at Tekoa Country Club. Agawam’s Pat Oleksak shot a 38.
Southwick 19.5, Westfield Voc-Tech 4.5
Southwick’s Jake Hough was the low-scorer, shooting a 40 in a neighborly battle. Rams’ Kyle Manley shot a 41.
GYMNASTICS
Westfield 125.275, Agawam 111.7
Westfield’s Taryn Hamel won the all-around with a score of 33.05, finishing first on the vault (8.6), bars (7.65), beam (8.15), and floor exercise (8.65).
Angela Bonavita finished runner-up in the all-around (31.3). Bonavita was second on bars (7.3), beam (8.1), and floor (8.0).
Westfield, which improved to 3-0 on the season, extended its win streak to 65.
