1:56 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Friendly Way, a patrol officer requests a tow for a vehicle found to have registration revoked for lack of insurance, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
11:45 a.m.: accident, Elm Street at Bartlett Street, a caller reports a tree fell on a truck, the responding officer reports a southbound tractor trailer unit which was negotiating a construction area struck a tree which was uprooted and fell on the cab of the truck, a DPW crew removed the tree from the unit which was found to have suffered minor damage to the roof of the trailer;
12:23 p.m.: found property, Western Avenue, a resident came to the station to deliver a black safe found on the yard of his Western Avenue home;
2:31 p.m.: arrest, Roosevelt Avenue, a detective supervisor reports that he assisted elements of the Hampden County narcotics task force as the officers sought to execute a warrant, Nicholas A. Thurman, 28, of no fixed address, was arrested on the warrant;
8:51 p.m.: vandalism, Whitaker Road, a caller reports a car stopped at his mailbox and youths have apparently struck the mailbox with a bat or similar implement, the caller does not require a formal report but wants the damage documented.
