Hockey jerseys with a “throwback logo” are being sold for the annual Pink in the Rink fundraiser.
The Westfield State University ice hockey team is sponsoring its annual Pink the Rink game on Feb. 7, 2013 when it hosts Framingham State University at 7:35 p.m.
Once again the Owls will be wearing a specially designed jersey for this event. It features the “throwback logo” of the 1978 Westfield State ice hockey team that captured the ECAC championship.
This year’s team is selling these jerseys for $75 each, with the option of size, name and number. Jerseys will not be available prior to the game and orders will be taken through Feb.11.
Proceeds from the evening and sale of these jerseys will benefit the Cancer House of Hope in Westfield. Last year the hockey team donated $527.05 from this event.
Orders can be placed in the Westfield athletics department from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday or by calling 413-572-5512. Checks should be made payable to the Westfield State Foundation.
