SPRINGFIELD – The Southwick-Tolland Regional High School baseball team chased away the Sci-Tech Cybercats Thursday in a mercy-shortened 15-1 drubbing.
Ross Lebo (3-for-3, 3 RBIs), Bob Hamel (2 hits, home run, 3 RBIs), and Cam Felix (3-4, 3 RBIs) led the Rams’ offensive attack.
“Those three (players) had big, big days,” said Southwick coach Tim Karetka, whose Rams improved to 9-4.
Southwick pitchers Bob Hamel (2 innings, 1 run allowed), and Brian Sheil (3 inn., 0 hits, 0 runs) silenced Sci-Tech.
SOFTBALL
Southwick 14, Monson 2
Simone Thibault (3 hits, 3 RBIs), Morgan Harriman (2 hits, triple, 3 RBIs), and Katelyn Silva (2 hits, 3 RBIs) paved the way on offense for SOuthwick (7-4). Rams’ pitcher Jordyn Willey pitched a four-hitter, striking out five.
In other games, the Southwick junior varsity softball team lost a tough one to Monson, 3-2.
