1:10 a.m.: disturbance, a caller a caller reports three male parties are arguing, the responding officer reports a routine check revealed that one of the parties was the subject of an outstanding warrant, Juan E. Santiago, 23, of 10 Franklin Ave., was arrested on the warrant, see next entry;
10:02 a.m.: vandalism, Elm Street, a caller reports his vehicles were damaged during an earlier disturbance, the responding officer reports the caller said that there had been a disturbance near his vehicles earlier and he subsequently discovered scratches on both vehicles;
12:33 p.m.: traffic complaint, Ford Avenue, a caller reports a large tree has fallen and blocked the roadway, the DPW was notified and dispatched a crew;
3:10 p.m.: accident, Park Square, a caller reports his tractor trailer unit struck one of the decorative posts surrounding Park Square and knocked it down, the officer confirmed the damage, documented the operator’s insurance information and the DPW was notified;
6:26 p.m.: assist citizen, Norton Street, a resident came to the station to request assistance gathering belongings at her former boyfriend’s residence, the responding officer reports the woman gathered some property without incident and made arrangements to collect the rest of her property soon;
6:49 p.m.: animal complaint, Montgomery Road, a caller reports he took custody of a stray golden retriever found in the area of the former race track on airport property and transported it to an animal hospital, an animal control officer transported the dog to the municipal animal shelter;
8:14 p.m.: vandalism, North Road at Russellville Road, a caller reports a known person broke his headlight, the responding officer reports the complainant said that he had been following a co-worker who was operating a company vehicle and was planning to give him a ride after he delivered the truck, the man said that he was reminded of an appointment which would preclude him from driving his co-worker and when he called the man to tell him he would not be able to help him the man stopped the truck in the middle of an intersection and confronted the other driver, the complainant said that when he refused to exit his vehicle because he believed the other man wanted to fight the suspect kicked and broke a headlight, the officer advised the man to seek a harassment order;
9:46 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Elm Street, a patrol officer reports he stopped a vehicle he had been advised had occupants who had been shooting silly string at other vehicles, the officer reports the operator acknowledged her mistake and was advised of the hazards of such activity;
10:02 p.m.: larceny, East Silver Street, a caller reports that about 9:20 p.m. she had left her pocketbook in a shopping cart after unloading groceries and it was gone when she returned in search of it;
11:35 p.m.: incapacitated person, North Elm Street, a officer reports three persons are at Half Mile Falls Park after hours, the responding officers reports three person were found who fled across the unused railroad bridge, one was apprehended and found to be highly intoxicated, Pavel V. Krapova, 17, of 7 Malone Ave., was arrested for trespass.
