WESTFIELD – Alan Dana White, 53, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 31, 2020. Alan was born on January 27, 1967, son to Philip and Dorene (Sharples) White. Alan was raised and educated in Westfield. He was a graduate from Westfield High School, Class of 1985, and won states in the Jazz Ensemble. Alan played saxophone for Flashback, Cosmic Banana, and a few other bands throughout his life. He was an avid New England Patriots fan.
Alan is survived by his parents, Philip and Dorene White, his children, Kyle White and his fiancée Melony McNamee, Matthew White and Bethany White, his brother Stephen White and his wife Julie. He was the cherished uncle to Darrell, Heather, Heidi, Kara, and great uncle to Nick, Ava, Benjamin, and Norah.
Calling hours for Alan will take place Friday, August 7th from 5:30PM – 7:30PM at Westfield Funeral Home and Cremation. A service will be held that evening at 7:30. A private burial will take place in Pine Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Alan’s memory to Westfield High School Band Parents (WHSBOP), 177 Montgomery Road, Westfield, MA 01085.
