WESTFIELD – The All-Stars Dance Center is hosting a free holiday dance spectacular this Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Rectory, 73 Main Str.
In lieu of an admission fee, they are asking for two non-perishable food items, which will be loaded into a truck and delivered to the Westfield Food Pantry right after the show.
Both recreational and competitive dancers will be performing in their best Christmas jammies in this family-friendly show. Dan Kane singer Sophie Lawry will be bringing her guitar, and leading carols. The Grinch will also be making a special appearance.
“It’s a super fun family day to get out,” said All-Stars Dance Center Owner-Director Kim Starsiak.
Staff will have an ugly sweater contest, and some competitive dance teams are running a bake sale with proceeds going to the food pantry, and leftover baked goods delivered to the homeless shelter.
Starsiak said this is the second year they’ve done the program, and last year, the whole back of the truck was filled. She said it’s a good opportunity for out of town family members to see their relatives dance, and also for community members and interested children to watch the show.
The All-Stars Dance Center has been in business for 25-years in Westfield, the last 12 in its studio above Roots gymnastics at 209 Root Road. Starsiak said the Center is still taking new students up to the first week in February. They also run 10-week dance classes for those who don’t want to make a commitment for a whole year.
Starsiak said the ten-week series is based on a book which all the dancers receive. Currently, they are four weeks into the Nutcracker. Coming in the spring will be a fairy garden series.

“Please consider joining us as we support our wonderful community and dance into the New Year,” Starsiak said.
