WESTFIELD- With the holidays and its 60th anniversary looming, Andrew Grant Diamond Center is offering deals, discounts and specials ahead of the Greater Westfield Chamber of Commerce’s Shop Small weekend.
Stephanie Grant, who owns the Diamond Center with her family, said they are offering all kinds of specials and deals.
“We have items all over the store marked at 60 percent off and we are also giving a free-gift give away with any $50 purchase. We’re working in conjunction with Puffers for the holidays; with any $200 purchase there, you get a $100 gift card here,” said Grant, noting the gift cards are only good for in stock items.
Grant added that the store is completely family owned and has been since it opened back in 1960.
“Andrew Grant was my grandfather and if you come here on the right day, you’ll see my kids in here too because they have grown up in here as well,” she said.
Grant said they just received their holiday collection last month to be ready for the season after meeting with their vendors to make a purchase back in July in Illinois. She added that much of their stock is unique.
“We pride ourselves on having unique pieces that you can’t go into a store and find a hundred of them sitting on the shelf, we do a lot of one-of-a-kind work,” she said.
However, she said their stock is much more than just what they buy from vendors. Bob Grant, a member of the second generation of the Grant family to own the store, does custom work for various different pieces.
“We are known for taking an old piece of jewelry and making it into an entirely new piece, or having a loose stone and resetting it into something you can redesign from scratch,” Grant said, “It just makes it 100 percent personable and unique, it’s going to be nothing like you can get in a store. That’s our niche. In the business.
She added that they do all of the work on different pieces in store, whether or not it’s repairs or engravings and just about everything is customizable. “If you see something in the store, we can change that as well. Just about everything is customizable, it comes into play a lot with bridal and engagement rings,” she said.
