WESTFIELD – Annie (Nan) B. (Lowe) Gallo, 86, of Westfield passed away on April 21, 2013. She was born on November 14, 1926 in Edinburgh, Scotland to William and Hannah (Burns) Lowe and has lived in Westfield since 1946.Nan was employed as a manger in the Westfield School Lunch Program and loved working around her home and in her flower garden. She was always talking about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church.
Nan was the widow of John A. Gallo who died on November 13, 2012. She is survived by her children, John Gallo Jr. and his wife Pamela of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, Janet Carpenter and her husband Charles of Merrimack, NH, Terese Mongeon and her husband Leonard of Hinesburg, VT, and Louise Gadbois and her husband Gerald of Westfield; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She also leaves three sisters, Roseanne Cannon, Janet Woodman and Helen Phelps all of England.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
