12:15 a.m.: liquor law violations, Mechanic Street, a patrol officer reports a liquor law violation, a city ordinance violation citation was filed;
12:20 a.m.: liquor law violations, Mechanic Street, patrol officers report a liquor law violation, a city ordinance violation citation was filed;
12:22 a.m.: assist citizen, Southwick Road, a caller reports that a resident has inadvertently locked keys inside a running vehicle, the responding firefighters report entry was made;
12:47 a.m.: city ordinance violation, Franklin Street, a community policing officer reports he observed male party urinating in clear view of the roadway, a city ordinance violation citation was filed;
1:06 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, officers reports they encountered a vehicle with extensive front end damage and a missing wheel, the reporting officer writes that the vehicle was found to have previously struck a guardrail on Church Street, the woman appeared to be highly intoxicated and failed a field sobriety test, Erika Leann Ames, 24, of 40 Guard Road, Worthington, was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor and for reckless operation of a motor vehicle;
1:47 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, School Street, a supervisory officer reports he observed a vehicle operating the wrong way on School Street which is a one-way roadway, the vehicle was stopped on Elm Street after it struck a utility pole, Matthew Paul Wzorek, 24, of 46 Fred Jackson Road, was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of a property damage accident;
2:21 a.m.: fire, City View Commons, 136 City View Road, multiple callers report a possible structure fire, dual response dispatched, the responding firefighters report a partially constructed house in the incomplete and abandoned housing project had burned to the ground prior to their arrival and the fire was extinguished, a caller reported at 1:29 p.m. that the remains were starting to smolder again and firefighters returned to douse the burned area again to be sure that no fire reignited;
8:47 a.m.: vandalism, Summer Street, a resident came to the station to complain that college students jumped on his car overnight, the responding officer report that three vehicles were found with damaged hoods consistent with persons standing and jumping on them, there is no evidence that the miscreants were college students;
10:21 a.m.: larceny, Dickens Drive, a resident came to the station to complain of fraudulent use of her debit card, the responding officer reports the victim said that her card had been in her purse and her purse had been in her car when it was stolen recently;
11:07 a.m.: larceny, Franklin Street, a representative of a Franklin Street check cashing business came to the station to report that a customer cashed five checks fraudulently, the responding officer reports the man said that a customer passed five business checks for a total of about $1,500 and when the checks were refused he contacted the business and learned that his customer was an employee there until recently and is suspected of stealing blank company checks, the case was referred to the financial crimes unit of the Detective Bureau;
12:27 p.m.: larceny, Van Deusen Apartments, 42 Arnold St., a resident came to the station to report the theft of a bicycle from a storage area, the responding officer reports that the complainant said that the bike which is valued at about $900 had been stored in a common storage area and was found to be missing when the man went to get it;
3:20 p.m.: harassment, Kittredge Drive, an elderly resident came to the station to report he is being harassed by his adult daughter, the responding officer reports the man said that the harassment has been ongoing for years and he wants it to stop, the man showed the officer an email message which officer found to be rambling and nonsensical but not threatening, the man was advised of the procedures to be followed in search of an harassment order;
3:37 p.m.: breaking and entering, Ridgeview Terrace, a caller reports his garage was broken into overnight, the responding officer report the caller’s wife said that she looked outside when her dogs started barking about 2 a.m. but saw nothing untoward, the caller pointed out items which had been disturbed and footprints in and around his garage, the man said that neither the garage nor the vehicles inside had been locked, a few dollars in coin was reported to have been stolen from the vehicles;
4:32 p.m.: identity fraud, Old Farm Road, a resident came to the station to report that she is being dunned for payment by a debt collector in reference to a telephone account she never opened, the responding officer reports the woman said that the account in question is with a telephone service she has never used and said that she believes the account was opened by her now deceased sister-in-law who had the same name as she did, was approximately the same age and had a similar social security number;
5:33 p.m.: burning complaint, Henry’s Trailer Park, 868 Southampton Road, a caller reports a burning complaint, the responding fire captain reports the resident was advised of the complaint and agreed to extinguish a small fire in a chiminea;
7:55 p.m.: liquor law violation, Clark Street, the community policing supervisor reports he observed a male party on Clark Street with an open container of alcohol, a city ordinance violation citation was filed;
9:00 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Springfield Road, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the officer reports the occupants said that they were coming from a marijuana festival in Amherst, the officer reports that the operator appeared be intoxicated but unquestionably passed a series of field sobriety tests, the officer noted flecks of green vegetable material on the shirt of a passenger who surrendered a marijuana “blunt” when queried, a city ordinance violation citation was filed;
9:49 p.m.: liquor law violation, Bartlett Street at Mechanic Street, a liquor enforcement detail officer reports he observed a male party with an open container of alcohol, a city ordinance violation citation was filed;
9:51 p.m.: vandalism, South Maple Street, a resident came to the station to complain that a known person threw a beer bottle at his truck which dented his tailgate and, when he drove over the broken pieces of the bottle, flattened a tire, the officer reports he spoke with the suspect who agreed to pay for the tire;
10:06 p.m.: liquor law violation, Meadow Street, the community policing supervisor reports he observed a female party in a municipal parking lot with an open container of alcohol who was found to be younger than the legal drinking age, two city ordinance violation citations were filed;
10:50 p.m.: liquor law violation, Mechanic Street, a liquor enforcement detail officer reports a liquor law violation, a city ordinance violation citation was filed;
10:59 p.m.: incapacitated person, Elm Street, a supervisory officer reports he observed a college aged youth on the sidewalk who appeared to be drinking alcohol and declined to follow the officer’s instructions, the young man was deemed to be too intoxicated to care for himself and was placed in protective custody, a second person was found to have been consuming alcohol and a city ordinance violation citation was issued;
11:21 p.m.: liquor law violation, Mechanic Street at Bartlett Street, the community policing supervisor reports he observed a group of college aged youths and observed one drop a can found to be partially filled with beer, a city ordinance violation citation was filed for possession of an open container of alcohol in public;
11:54 p.m.: liquor law violation, Meadow Street, the community policing supervisor reports he observed a group of college aged youths and observed one drop a can found to be partially filled with beer, a city ordinance violation citation was filed for possession of an open container of alcohol in public;

4:28 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, North Road, a patrol officer reports that he observed a vehicle operating erratically and stopped it on North Road, the officer reports the operator appeared to be impaired and failed a field sobriety test, Eric B. Vatier, 32, of 21 New Broadway, was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor (a second offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation;
7:59 a.m.: recovered motor vehicle, Southampton Road, the proprietor of a Southampton Road business who had reported a company vehicle stolen by a new employee reports he sought the vehicle at the employee’s home in Wilbraham and found it there with the keys in it, the responding officer reports the owner said he took custody of the vehicle, a criminal complaint for using a vehicle without authority was filed;
9:08 a.m.: vandalism, Sunrise Terrace, a caller reports vandalism to her swimming pool, the responding officer reports the victim said that she had been away for a couple of days and returned to find her pool half full and draining from several holes made by a sharp instrument;
10:57 a.m.: breaking and entering, East Bartlett Street, a caller reports her unlocked vehicle was broken into overnight, the responding officer reports the caller said that about $3 in coin is missing and personal papers may also have been taken;
1:42 p.m.; motor vehicle violation, Friendly Way, a traffic enforcement officer reports he observed a vehicle with an inspection sticker which expired in 2012 and stopped the car, the officer reports that the operator’s license was found to have been suspended due to non-payment of child support, Chad Sullivan, 32, of 114 Piney Lane, Ludlow, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, the owner of the vehicle was found to be a passenger and was allowed the take control of the car;
8:25 p.m.: disturbance, Kellogg St., a caller reports she returned to her home to find the bicycles which had been on her porch were on the sidewalk and were damaged, the responding officer reports that a female party who has a child in common with another resident of the home had come to the residence seeking the bikes and had thrown them off the balcony, the bikes are owned by the caller but the suspect agreed to make restitution arrangements with the other resident as she does not get along with the caller, the officer reports the suspect was advised that charges may be filed if she does not work out a restitution arrangement;
11:57 p.m.: vandalism, Conner Avenue, a caller reports a tenant intentionally damaged a window, the responding officer reports the caller’s son said that the tenant had been seen striking the window with a golf club, the officer reports the suspect said that he accidently bumped the window with the golf club but the officer found the damage to be consistent with an intentional act, the officer noted that the suspect displayed the classic symptoms of alcohol intoxication, Chase J. Quinn, 29, of 8 Conner Ave., was arrested for vandalizing property.
