WESTFIELD – Another record-breaker this time proved to be the back-breaker for the opposition.
On Tuesday, Westfield junior Kylie Buchanan reached her 100th (as well as her 101st and 102nd) career point with a hat trick in the Bombers’ girls lacrosse team’s 19-1 road rout of Granby.
The milestone came on the heels of Monday night’s record-setter which saw Westfield senior Hannah Jarvis become the school’s all-time leading scorer against Agawam when she surpassed Nicole Belliveau’s mark of 232 points set in 2012.
Jarvis continued her offensive onslaught, notching three goals and one assist against Granby. Mackenzie Liptak also scored three goals.
With the victory, Westfield (9-7 overall, 6-1 Valley League) qualified for the playoffs. The Bombers will host their “Senior Night” Friday against Agawam at 5:15.
