Westfield-Arlene M. (Bouthellette) Grimaldi, 86, died Sunday, July 15, 2018 in a local nursing home. She was born in Easthampton on August 1, 1931 to the late Roland and Irene (Shepard) Bouthellette. She grew up in Easthampton and was a graduate of Notre Dame Catholic School. She worked two jobs at an early age to support her family at local factories and restaurants. She married her husband James J. Grimaldi in 1957. She moved to Westfield in 1958. She worked at White’s Quaint Shop, Stanley Home Products, A&W Root Beer and at Hamilton Standard for the Marriott Food Service Division. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time at the Westfield Senior Center. Arlene leaves her son Nicholas Grimaldi of Westfied, James J. Grimaldi and his wife Margarita of Westfield, Susan A. Zak and her husband Francis Jr. of Westfield. She also leaves her grandchildren James and Timothy Grimaldi, Zachary and Leland Zak. She was pre-deceased by her husband James J. Grimaldi in 2000. The funeral and burial will be private.
