Richard F. Carroll

Westfield – Richard F. Carroll passed away on July 6th after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.   Richard was born on December 10, 1952, the son of William and Alba Carroll.  Richard attended schools in Westfield. He began his career as a flooring installer at the young age of 16, and retired very recently.  He enjoyed weight lifting, being at the gym, bike riding, any outdoor activities and his ferrets.  He was a spiritual man, attending meetings with his family.  Rich was a very caring, and attentive friend. He was always there for anyone in need. He had a great sense of humor…a jokster.   His illness didn’t take away his positive attitude every day. He will be truly missed by so many friends and family.

He leaves his devoted wife of 43 years, Vicki (Bard) and 5 children; sons Richard, Jason, Michael (Amanda), and Shaun.  He also leaves is brothers William and Robert and their wives.   He was predeceased by his parents, William and Alba Caroll, his brother, Walter, and sister, Joyce.  He leaves 14 grandchildren;  Alina, Destiny, Aden, Victoria, Brianna, Alicia, Jayden, Cambry, Ethan, Natalie, Brooklyn, Mava,  Arianna, and Chloe, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 21st at the Boys & Girls Club of Westfield on South Broad St at 1:00pm. A reception will follow.
