Articulture Westfield expands artistic offerings

WESTFIELD-“Awesome talent” will be on display later this month when the third annual Articulture Westfield show takes place at the Episcopal Church of the Atonement.

“We have listened to the patrons of last year’s event and we made many improvements to give our community a memorable and solid artistic show that includes all ages, various creative artistic backgrounds, and increased artist’s participation,” said Cheryl Crowe, treasurer of ArtWorks of Westfield, Inc., sponsors of Articulture Westfield.

An opening reception is planned April 20 from 6 to 8 p.m., followed by the show April 21 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Articulture Westfield is free to the public.

“This year we have expanded to present 10 authors, ages 9 to 80, 40 artists with the youngest being 15, various musicians, the youngest musician of 16, from soloists to outside bands,” said Crowe.

Music will be provided by the Charlie Galvin Band, Whiskey Traveler, Lexi Weege and the Wonder Twins, Stumpy McToad, The Keepers, Jon Adams, Ed Bentley, Harry Rock, Andyhasa Band, Tom Sawyer, Mandy Maloney, Ryan Jacobs/War of Ghosts.

Two local food vendors will also be featured on April 21, Moe’s Donuts from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Eddie and Angie’s Mobile Food Truck from 1 to 6 p.m.

“We sincerely thank the generosity of our sponsors for making this show possible for their community,” said Crowe, adding that sponsors include the Westfield Cultural Council, Westfield Gas & Electric, Edward Jones Financial, Easthampton Savings Bank, and the in-kind sponsor Whip City Music.

“We also thank the Episcopal Church of the Atonement for their wonderful assistance working with us to put this event together,” she added. “Stop on by April 20 and 21 to see the awesome talent right in your own backyard.”
