Baystate Noble Hospital appoints Michele Urban Chief Administrative Officer

WESTFIELD – Baystate Noble Hospital, a member of Baystate Health and a leading regional community hospital providing a broad range of expert services to the greater Westfield area, announced the appointment of Michele Urban, MSN, RN to Chief Administrative Officer. As a proud member of Baystate HealthUrban continues in her role as Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services.

In this expanded role she will be responsible for developing the annual and long range operating budgets, financial plan, and strategic plan. She will also be accountable for daily operations, clinical integration and continued focus on cultural excellence in quality outcomes, and patient experience.

Urban has served as Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President Patient Care Services since November, 2015.   During this time she has restructured the Patient Care Services division, reorganized nursing leadership, established the bedside rounding program to enhance patient experience and developed the Baystate Noble Hospital Patient Family Advisory Council.

Throughout her over 30 year nursing career, Ms. Urban has held various nursing leadership positions in hospitals in Massachusetts and Connecticut, including Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA, Johnson Memorial Medical Center in Stafford Springs, CT and the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain.

She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Hartford, West Hartford, CT, Associate in Science in Nursing from Ona Wilcox School of Nursing, Middletown, CT, and a Bachelor of Arts from Centenary College, Hackettstown, NJ.
