Beverly J. Sinico

SOUTHWICK: Beverly J. “Bev” Sinico, 80, (1940-2021) passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 5, 2021 in Middlesex Hospital, Middletown, Connecticut, after a short but valiant health battle.

She was born in 1940 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late, Margaret (Daley) Zimmerman and William Zimmerman. Besides her parents, Bev was predeceased by her husband, John “Jack” M. Sinico, son, Mark Sinico, brother, William J. Zimmerman, and sister, Sally Leary.

Bev spent her formative years in Pittsfield until her High School Graduation in 1958. In 1974, Beverly moved to Southwick, Massachusetts where she resided for the next 40 years and raised three wonderful children with her husband, Jack. She worked at Hamilton Standard for over 25 years as an assembler of aviation parts. Although Bev worked a full-time job and was involved and volunteered in many organizations such as Our Lady of the Lake Church, Democratic Party of Southwick and Southwick Lion’s Club, Bev was happiest in the “back seat” position of supporting her husband Jack in his political aspirations. She was a wonderful and supportive wife and the “wind beneath his wings” for the 60 years that they were married; until Jack was called to heaven in 2020.

She is survived by a son, Keith J. Sinico of Southwick; a daughter Jacqueline M. Clark of Wethersfield, CT (husband John Clark); a sister Martha Monterosso of Pittsfield, MA; grandchildren Jennifer Clark and Joshua Clark; along with extended family members.

Bev had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with family and friends. She loved Sunday dinners with a nice beef roast followed by a round of card playing and a glass of wine. These are the memories of better times that sustain the family in these times of sorrow.

A service will be held on Saturday, September 18th at 11:30 AM with a calling hour from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the Southwick Forastiere Funeral and Cremation Service, 624 College Highway, Southwick, MA. Burial will follow in New Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Beverly’s name to Dana Farber, 450 Brookline Ave., SW120, Boston, MA 02215.
