WESTFIELD – The Westfield High School boys’ lacrosse team enjoyed a resounding bounce back victory yesterday. The Bombers opened with a 4-0 first-quarter lead, and exploded for six more goals in the second quarter en route to a 13-3 thumping of visiting West Springfield.
Kevin Papineau (3 goals, 1 assist), Ryan Wilson (3 goals, 2 assists), Sam Scarfo (2 goals, 2 assists), Matt Lacroix (1 goal, 3 assists), Chris Pray (1 goal), Craig Ward (3 goals, 1 assist), Luke Chlastawa (1 assist), Garrett Fitzgerald (1 assist), and Jeff Bourgoyn (1 assist) each contributed to Westfield’s offensive fireworks.
Jake Cupak (3 saves) and Sean Donofrio (4 saves) combined for a victory in net for the Bombers.
