WESTFIELD – The Westfield Bombers’ girls’ lacrosse team earned some extra credit by taking Belchertown to school.
Westfield High swept its season series against Belchertown, defeating the Orioles for the second time this season, 19-15, Monday at home.
Belchertown is the defending league champ.
“It was a great contribution by all my seniors in a must win game for us to stay in the hunt for the playoffs,” Westfield coach Paul Fenwick said.
Victoria Whalen (4 goals, 2 assists), Ashlee Owen (5 goals), Brittany Hutchinson (3 goals, 1 assist), and Mackenzie Millikan (3 goals, 1 assist) paved the way on offense.
Tori Meneses finished with 17 saves in net for Westfield.
“It was a great game all-around,” coach Fenwick said.
