WESTFIELD: Charles W Savoie Sr., 86, (1929-2015) passed away Thursday November 19, 2015 in a local nursing home. Born May 23, 1929, Charles was the son of the late Albert and Mary (Monette) Savoie. Charles attended Springfield schools and after graduating, he joined the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He worked many years in the Fabric Mill in Indian Orchard and later for the Town of Wilbraham as a mechanic and machine repair man until his retirement. Charles was an avid bowler, playing 10 Pin in Wilbraham where he once bowled a perfect game.Charles leaves his wife, Doris (Castonguay) Savoie, a son Charles Savoie Jr., a daughter Doreen Rex and her husband Daniel; 2 brothers, Eugene and Kenneth Savoir; a sister Adelaide LeMay; and 5 grandchildren; Justice, William, Molly, Micah, and Jewelia.
Funeral services with Military Honors for Charles will take place Monday November 30, 2015 at 3 pm from the MA Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St, Agawam, MA. The Robert E Cusack Funeral Home, Westfield, is assisting the family with arrangements
