Weymouth, MA – Claire M. Fitch, 76, passed away on February 22, 2017 peacefully at the Colonial Nursing Home in Weymouth, MA. Born in Springfield, MA August 23, 1940 to the late George Fitch & Clara (Maley) Williams. She lived most of her life in Quincy, MA before moving to Weymouth 9 years ago. She enjoyed the ocean, bowling, bingo, fishing with her family and spending time with her loving family and friends.
She leaves 4 sisters; Shirley Willey of Washington, MA, Marion Goldrup, Christine Buffum, Ruth Warner, all of Westfield. Sadly, she was pre-deceased by her sister Joanne Dearing in 2009. She also leaves her brothers; George Fitch of Orange City, FL and John Williams of Westfield. Claire also leaves her dear friend of 35 years, Karen Spano of Weymouth, MA; along with 7 God-children, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. Claire’s spirit will live on. Services are private.
