Jessica M. Cernak, 30, of 25 E. Silver St., saw a charge of improper use of a credit card valued less than $250 brought by Westfield police not prosecuted.
Robert J. Wensley, 37, of 3 Lathrop Way, saw charges of assault on a family or household member and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon brought by Westfield dismissed when the alleged victim asserted her Fifth Amendment rights and refused to testify. In a second case also brought by Westfield police, Wensley saw a charge of malicious destruction of property valued less than $250 also dismissed when the alleged victim asserted her Fifth Amendment rights and refused to testify.
Kyle T. Merlini, 28, of 27 Fred Jackson Road, Southwick, saw a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license ordered dismissed pending payment by Jan. 2 of a $100 probation service fee.
David F. Carmon, 54, of 83 Cheshire Road, Pittsfield, was found guilty in a bench trial of a charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle brought by State Police and was placed on probation for six months. He was assessed $300, found to be responsible for a charge of speeding and a marked lanes violation and was assessed an additional $100.
Jose R. Montalvo, 34, of 100 Lockhouse Road, was released on $1,000 personal surety pending a Feb. 27 hearing after he was arraigned on a charge of violation of an abuse prevention order brought by Westfield police.
