Steven C. Sobczyk, 50, of 179 Joseph Ave.,was released on his personal recognizance pending a Jan. 5 hearing after he was arraigned on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license brought by Westfield police.
Christopher N. Harman, 28, of 929 Shaker Road, was released on his personal recognizance pending an April 4 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and a marked lanes violation brought by Westfield police.
Cynthia Choquette, 30, of 36 Taft Road, Chester, submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of larceny of property valued more than $250 brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for six months. She was assessed $90. In a separate case brought by State Police, Choquette saw charges of operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle not prosecuted.
Brian A. Annette, 27, of 9 Crown St., pleaded guilty to a charge of operating a motor vehicle with suspended license and was fined $625. He was assessed $90 and found to be responsible for a charge of failure to stop or yield.
Kayla R. Fanion, 24, of 67 Pochassic St.,submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of larceny of property valued less than $250 brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for six months. She was assessed $50 and ordered to pay restitution of $160.
Jonathan L. Westbrook, 24, of 76 Davis Road, Southwick, pleaded guilty to a charge of receiving stolen property valued more than $250 and was fined $125. He was assessed $90.
Lisa M. Piispanen, 45, of 272 Huntington Road, Chester, was released on her personal recognizance pending a Jan. 15 hearing after she was arraigned on charges assault and battery on a family or household member and assaulted and battery with a dangerous weapon brought by State Police.
Matthew Detka, 29, of 26 Loomis St., was released on his personal recognizance pending a Feb. 5 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of possessing, selling or buying an endangered species and hunting or fishing during a closed season brought by environmental police.
Alberto Ramirez, 29, of 126 Union St., was held in lieu of $200 cash bail pending a Feb. 12 hearing after he was arraigned on two charges of uttering a false writing and a charge of identity fraud brought by Westfield police.
John X. Welter, 23, of 134 College Highway, Southampton, submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding and dismissed upon payment of fees and assessments totaling $200. He was found to be not responsible for a motor vehicle lights violation.
