Donald Costigan, 50, of 71 Broad St., pleaded guilty to charges of operating under the influence of liquor brought by Westfield police and was sentenced to a 90 day term in the house of correction, suspended, with probation for six months. He was assessed $50. He also pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a Class B drug and was placed on probation for six months, ordered not to operate a motor vehicle without a valid license and was ordered to remain drug free and be subject to random testing. He was found to be responsible for a charge of operating a motor vehicle without a valid inspection sticker and was assessed $50.
Keith A. Chrystal, 49, of 260 Elm St., was ordered to make no threats or violence toward the alleged victim, to remain alcohol free and to possess no firearms when he was released on $5,000 personal surety pending a March 26 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, possession of a sawed off shotgun, carrying a firearm without a license, receiving stolen property valued more than $250 and possession of a firearm without a firearms identification card brought by Westfield police.
Henry Townley, 39, of 13 Hemlock St., Enfield, Conn., pleaded guilty to charges of trespass and shoplifting by asportation brought by Southwick police and was sentenced to two concurrent 30 day terms in the house of correction with credit for time served awaiting trial. He was fined $300 and assessed $50.

Abimael Benitez, 37, of 44 Franklin St., was released on his personal recognizance pending a March 7 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of operating with a suspended license (a subsequent offense) and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle brought by Westfield police.
Steven J. Grimsley, 21, of 15 Norton St., submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of operating under the influence of liquor brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for one year. He was assessed $350, ordered to complete a Drug Alcohol Education Program at a cost of $817.22 and his license was suspended for 210 days. A charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle was not prosecuted, he was found to be responsible for a charge of being a person younger than the legal drinking age in possession of liquor and not responsible for a charge of speeding.
Brian A. Lafreniere, 25, of 38 Hopkins Road, was released on his personal recognizance pending a March 6 hearing after he was arraigned on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a motor vehicle lights violation brought by State Police.
Robert Lambert, 52, of 60 Orange St., was found to be responsible for a charge operating a motor vehicle without a valid inspection sticker and was assessed $50. A charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license was not prosecuted.
